I was out on my jog when I noticed a black car drive by really slow. I didn’t think much of it, not until the same black car started following me. Who ever it was revved up their engine as they would pass me. Then he would double back and do it again. He doubled back to follow me five times. It made me feel unsafe in my small town.

i am so sorry. If it happens again, take a phone picture of his license plate and immediately call 911. That is called stalking and it isn’t legal.

Living in New York City, one can hear of an experience like this and think, “yeah. This is NY, what do you expect!” (although of course it isn’t acceptable or normal or right anywhere any time!). But to hear of it happening in a small town in Nebraska just reinforces the idea that street harassment is not just a big city phenomenon. It is pervasive and it’s I’ll effects are universal. I hope You can determine a way to deal with this situation, while we work on changing attitudes.
