“Why don’t you come over and suck me!”

March 8, 2011 By Contributor

Walking home alone from a night out with some friends, I was followed by one man who [said he wanted to] sleep in my bed with me, no matter how many times I told him I had a boyfriend. When he gave up, from the other side of the street, I heard a couple of men yelling at me, “Hey baby!” and when I didn’t react, they started yelling some more, “Hey baby! Hey sexy! Why don’t you come over and suck me! Suck me baby, Suck me!”

That sort of behavior is just repulsive and I don’t understand why women here in Norway permit it! I’ve even been groped while walking down the street as a passer-by managed to grab my rear! I wasn’t even wearing anything remotely revealing!

“He kept following me in his car…trying to get me in his car despite me refusing”

February 15, 2011 By Contributor

I was walking home from the store and I heard car honks. My mind didn’t automatically think the honking was toward me. It blared again and I turned around to see a guy in a car following me.

He yelled out, asking me for my address and if he can take me home. I told him politely I don’t give my address to strangers and I’m not comfortable getting into strangers’ cars.

He then yelled his name at me and said he’s not trying to find out where I live. Um, ok.

I had to go into a store because he kept following me in his car for at least three blocks, trying to get me in his car despite me refusing.

Bicycling stalker in Alberta

August 13, 2010 By Contributor

I was walking downtown to meet a friend when a guy on a bike started following me and trying to talk to me. I asked him to leave me alone and he persisted, driving his bike in increasingly tight circles around me and getting really aggressive. I pulled out my cell phone and told him I would call the police if he didn`t leave me alone.

Terrifying chase through Fort McMurray

August 9, 2010 By Contributor

I once got chased by a truck full of guys through downtown Fort McMurray for nearly an hour. I ran, jumped fences, cut through parks but they found me every single time. They were yelling and calling me baby and telling me to stop running away because they only wanted to talk to me.

I was terrified and I didn’t have a cell phone or any way to call anyone until I made it to a late night grocery store and used their phone to call a friend to pick me up.

Through a phone call

June 12, 2010 By Contributor

I’ve had to deal with cat calling and staring since i was in my early teens, and i was ALWAYS extremely uncomfortable with it. So i had an attitude that i will NOT deal with the crap these creeps put girls through and pretty much…be a b*tch if anyone tries to hit on me or say disgusting things to me. i don’t like to be hit on. these days, being hit on mixed with some vodka can lead to something called rape.

im 21 now and has any of this stopped..nope! these men are thick headed and don’t GET IT. i am a 21 year old girl living in new jersey. i have an amazing boyfriend, a Marine and Iraq Veteran. you would think i have nothing to worry about regarding my safety. wrong!! the other night, when my boyfriend was away for the marines for a few days i got a weird phone call. it was a guy..and he was pretty much screaming at me saying he knows me and needs to know where i am exactly. i didnt know this guy. i told him i dont know anyone named anthony. and he said my full name, that he has a situation and he needs to know my location NOW because he needs to see me tonight. i told him if he has an emergency to call 911 not me and i hung up. i cursed a little here and there but that is me. i go into defense mode. i did not know him and i knew this because he had a “jersey shore guido” accent. im from NJ and i dont associate with those fake people thank you.

anyway i was scared…and my sister was next to me so she googled the number. it was a google proxy number..its confusing i think verizon has it too… that u can pretty much buy the phone number to only use it once and it cant be traced. so now i have a stalker???? and i guess he knows when my boyfriend is away. my full name and my phone number. since that night…i dont like to go anywhere without my boyfriend at all. i dont even like to go to my car in my driveway in the dark. SICK OF THIS.
